When we look at the modern social context, it is seen that our growing ages of children have been deprived of Buddhist religious education. Though the children of today will be our good future citizens, a family, society, and the whole nation will depend on them. When those children go astray, their parents will suffer difficulties. As a result of this, unhappiness in society will prevail.  On the other hand, if those children gain Buddhist moral education and grow with it, they will support their parents and thereby live in peace. A morally and ideally grown-up child will always keep away from doing bad actions, and he also keeps others away from doing bad actions. This way, peace will prevail in society.  Wherever good behavior, good mentality, good respect towards the elders, love, and affection for the young, and the practice of Buddhist wisdom, this will establish a good society.

Coming to this modern era, it is seen that the world is moving so rapidly into material advancement. Man has been successful in entering another planet from Earth. The success and development of sciences took humanity into further development, which cannot be denied. The modern world is called the “Materialistic World”.  In a word, the reality of the world leads humanity into a competitive situation for the survival of life.

Today, man is going to stray very easily because of having a strong desire for money, wealth, and power. On the contrary, the youth is leading towards illegal social activities.  All bad things are happening today because people in society are not endowed with Buddhist moral qualities and wisdom. This corrupt situation in society needs to be solved, and with the growing ages of children and youth concerned, Venerable Sugato Bhikkhu has established the “Buddhist   Education Foundation” in order to make a bright future, happiness, and an ideal society in Comilla and Noakhali Districts on the basis of children and youth developing the Buddhist moral five precepts.

Objectives:

1) To establish an ideal society through teaching Buddhist moral principles to children.  

2) To encourage education by providing scholarships to brilliant students.   

3) To support educational equipment for children.
